Unlike Jodi, the main character in KEY TO ATEN, I had a wonderful, though uneventful, childhood growing up in the suburbs of Toronto, Canada--never once did I find myself trapped on another world or in another time.
Except in my imagination.
Writing--my journal, poems and stories--has always been a great outlet. It's exciting to explore the less-traveled paths of one's mind. Scary sometimes but always worth the fare.
I now live north of Toronto with my husband, daughter and cat. While writing, I can gaze through my window at the forest across the way. Its winding trails and ancient trees were an inspiration while writing the ATEN CHRONICLES.
If you haven't a forest of your own, Jodi won't mind sharing hers. But be careful where you step--you don't want to end up on Aten.
Or maybe you do.
But enough about me. I'm far more interested in hearing about what's going on in your life--What's happening in school? What are you reading? Tell me about your pets, things you love and stuff that drive you nuts.
